Strange Insect

Alright well yesterday I was bored so I went out in my yard and looked for things to take pictures of. While I was looking around I came across this strange looking insect and I had never seen one before so I took some pics, I have no idea what this insect actually is though.

*Edit* ok I figured out now that this insect is a Weevil. I'm not sure exactly what species of weevil but it is a weevil.
